The Galveston Daily News (Galveston, TX, USA)

Now Texas's longest-running daily newspaper, The Galveston Daily News made its first appearance on 11 April 1842. It founded The Dallas Morning News in 1885. Sharing a telegraph connection and a network of correspondents, they were the first two newspapers in the United States to publish simultaneous editions.
