The Morning Post (London, UK)
Founded in 1772, the Morning Post had attracted contributions from Romantic luminaries such as
William Wordsworth,
Samuel Taylor Coleridge,
Robert Southey,
and
Charles Lamb before emerging as a rival to
The Times by the 1850s. A conservative daily published in London, its editors included James Nicol Dunn (1897-1905),
Spenser Wilkinson (1905),
Fabian Ware
(1905-1911), and
Howell Arthur Gwynne (1911-1937). The paper was absorbed by The Telegraph in 1937.
