Periodical
La Nouvelle Revue Française (Paris, France)
February 1909
One of France's most influential literary reviews,
La Nouvelle Revue Francaise was launched in February 1909 (an abortive first issue having been launched the previous November) by a group of young writers led by
Andre Gide and
Jean Schlumberger. With the appointment of
Gaston Gallimard as editor in 1911, the journal became part of the publishing house Gallimard.
