Country Life in America
Feb 1931
Launched in 1901,
Country Life in America became
The New Country Life in 1917 and, between 1918 and its final number in July 1939, simply
Country Life. Unconnected with the British weekly also named
Country Life, its initial focus was on rural life and American heritage; only later did it evolve into a magazine devoted to the lifestyles of the rich.
Country Life in America was published monthly in Garden City, New York by Doubleday, Page & Co., Conrad's own publishers in the United States after 1914.
